Until a week ago, I was the vice president of marketing and communications at a college. But something was eating at me. My perspective had started to shift.
Marketing and PR are all about how others perceive what you sell…how you communicate that your product or service fills another’s needs. But that perspective had started to blur the lines between what I do and who I am.
For me, I needed to walk away in order to live differently, see differently and recapture something essential.
I call this my Great Escape because I am both fleeing from…and going towards something. Escape is a noun too…a place…a safe haven or a destination.
Here we go.
